Teen Spends Over A Month In Jail For A Crime He Didn’t Commit
Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler was forced to apologize to the teen on behalf of the deputy. Apparently, the deputy working the case took short-cuts in the case and failed to confirm the suspect’s identity with a photo.
The mistake led to Cody Lee Williams being arrested for a crime he never committed. He spent 35 days in jail before the mistake was discovered.
